The Room (Indonesian version)

Di antara sadar dan mimpi, aku menemukan diriku di sebuah ruangan. Tidak ada ciri yang mencolok di dalam ruangan ini kecuali dindingnya penuh dengan kartu-kartu arsip yang kecil. Kartu-kartu arsip itu seperti yang ada di perpustakaan yang isinya memuat judul buku menurut pengarangnya atau topic buku menurut abjad.

Tetapi arsip-arsip ini, yang membentang dari dasar lantai ke atas sampai ke langit-langit dan nampaknya tidak ada habis-habisnya di sekeliling dinding itu, memiliki judul yang berbeda-beda.

Pada saat aku mendekati dinding arsip ini, arsip yang pertama kali menarik perhatianku berjudul ‘Cewek-cewek yang Aku Suka’. Aku mulai membuka arsip itu dan membuka kartu-kartu itu. Aku cepat-cepat menutupnya, karena terkejut melihat semua nama-nama yang tertulis di dalam arsip itu. Dan tanpa diberitahu siapapun, aku segera menyadari dengan pasti aku ada dimana.

Ruangan tanpa kehidupan ini dengan kartu-kartu arsip yang kecil-kecil merupakan sistem katalog bagi garis besar kehidupanku. Di sini tertulis tindakan-tindakan setiap saat dalam kehidupanku, besar atau kecil, dengan rincian yang tidak dapat dibandingkan dengan daya ingatku.

Dengan perasaan kagum dan ingin tahu, digabungkan dengan rasa ngeri, berkecamuk di dalam diriku ketika aku mulai membuka kartu-kartu arsip itu secara acak, menyelidiki isi arsip ini. Beberapa arsip membawa sukacita dan kenangan yang manis; yang lainnya membuat aku malu dan menyesal sedemikian hebat sehingga aku melirik lewat bahuku apakah ada orang lain yang melihat arsip ini.

• Click Control Panel
• Double-click Add/Remove Programs

Uang harus diakui udah jadi patokan buat hidup, bcoz you can’t live well without money that’s the fact. Tapi bukan itu problem yang mau gw bahas disini. Posting ini cuma mo kasi tips soal penggunaan kartu kredit alias credit card, yang dimana klo kebablasan bisa bikin duit lu flow like a water, gone like a wind. hehehe.

Tips and Trick ala gue :

1. Janganlah membawa dirimu kedalam pencobaan a.k.a jangan bikin kartu kredit terlalu banyak, karena selain menimbulkan cost yang lebih, ditambah juga banyak godaan yang melewat klo lu lagi jalan-jalan ke mall. hahaha. Meskipun sekarang banyak tuh mba-mba yang rajin telponin kita buat nawarin kartu kredit dengan gratis iuran setaun pertama
2. Jangan bayar minimum payment karena itu cuma bikin utang lu tambah berbunga bunga alias numpuk.
3. Jangan besar pasak daripada tiang (apaan seeh??). Ya intinya jangan beli barang-barang yang melebihi kapasitas lu untuk membelinya.
4. Jangan beli barang yang tidak direncanakan, alias jangan gelojoh atow bisa juga dibilang jangan lapar mata, bcoz mata ga pernah puas, sekali diturutin pasti pengen yang laen lagi (trust me! hahaha).

So be wise guys!! Buatlah manajemen sheet keuangan kamu, biar keuangan kamu lancar dan ga tekor mulu.

Firefox 3 Tuning

Few Steps boeat tuning firefox 3 :

1. Aktifkan browser Firefox-3.0 Anda dan ketikkan perintah “about:config” (tanpa tanda kutip), di address barnya.
2. Anda akan dibawa ke halaman konfigurasi Firefox-3.0. Kalau ada peringatan untuk hati-hati mengubah pengaturan pada halaman tersebut, klik yes atau ok saja.
3. Pada filter search bar di halaman konfigurasi, ketikkan “network.http.pipelining”. Pastikan valuenya sudah diset dengan nilai “true”. Jika masih “false”, klik ganda untuk menjadikannya “true”.
4. Kembali ke filter search bar, ketikkan “network.http.pipelining.maxrequests”. Double klik pada opsi ini dan rubah nilainya (value) menjadi 8.
5. Kembali ke filter search bar, ketikkan “network.http.proxy.pipelining”, double klik untuk merubah valuenya menjadi ‘true’.
6. Kembali ke filter search bar, ketikkan “network.dns.disableIPv6”. Double klik untuk merubah nilainya menjadi ‘true’.
7. Klik kanan di halaman konfigurasi tersebut dimanapun terserah, pilih new –>boolean. Ketikkan “content.interrupt.parsing”pada popup windows yang muncul kemudian klik OK. Ketika prompt untuk pilihan muncul, pilih ‘true’.
8. Kembali klik kanan halaman konfigurasi, pilih new –> integer. Ketikkan “content.max.tokenizing.time”. Pada prompt value yang muncul masukkan nilai 2250000.
9. Kembali klik kanan halaman konfigurasi, pilih new –> integer. Ketikkan “content.notify.interval”. Masukkan nilai 750000 pada prompt value yang muncul.
10. Kembali klik kanan halaman konfigurasi, pilih new –> boolean. Ketikkan “content.notify.ontimer”. Pilih ‘true’ untuk isian prompt value yang muncul.
11. Kembali klik kanan halaman konfigurasi, pilih new –> integer. Ketikkan “content.notify.backoffcount”. Pada prompt value yang muncul isikan value ‘5’.
12. Kembali klik kanan halaman konfigurasi, pilih new –> integer. Ketikkan “content.switch.threshold”. Isikan nilai 750000 pada prompt integer value yang muncul.
13. Terakhir, kembali klik kanan pada halaman konfigurasi, pilih new –>integer. Ketikkan “nglayout.initialpaint.delay”. Isikan nilai ‘0’ pada prompt isian nilai yang muncul.
14. Restart Firefox.

In that place between wakefulness and dreams, I found myself in the room. There were no distinguishing features save for the one wall covered with small index card files. They were like the ones in libraries that list titles by author or subject in alphabetical order. But these files, which stretched from floor to ceiling and seemingly endlessly in either direction, had very different headings.

As I drew near the wall of files, the first to catch my attention was one that read “People I Have Liked.” I opened it and began flipping through the cards. I quickly shut it, shocked to realize that I recognized the names written on each one.

And then without being told, I knew exactly where I was. This lifeless room with its small files was a crude catalog system for my life. Here were written the actions of my every moment, big and small, in a detail my memory couldn’t match. A sense of wonder and curiosity, coupled with horror, stirred within me as I began randomly opening files and exploring their content. Some brought joy and sweet memories; others a sense of shame and regret so intense that I would look over my shoulder to see if anyone was watching. A file named “Friends” was next to one marked “Friends I Have Betrayed.”

The titles ranged from the mundane to the outright weird. “Books I Have Read,” “Lies I Have Told”, “Comfort I Have Given”, “Jokes I Have Laughed At”. Some were almost hilarious in their exactness: “Things I’ve Yelled at My Brothers.” Other I couldn’t laugh at: “Things I Have Done in My Anger”, “Things I Have Muttered Under My Breath at My Parents”. I never ceased to be surprised by the contents. Often there were many more cards than I expected. Sometimes fewer than I hoped. I was overwhelmed by the sheer volume of the life I had lived. Could it be possible that I had the time in my 20 years to write each of these thousands or even millions of cards?

The Rainmaker (1997), film ini diangkat dari salah satu novel best seller-nya John Grisham dengan judul yang sama.

Film ini emang udah lama di release (1997) tapi baru kemaren beres donlod + nonton. Overall ok nih film, nyeritain tentang seorang lawyer muda (Rudy Baylor) yang idealis trus berani ngelawan lawyer kawakan (Leo Drummond).

Ceritanya Rudy ini jadi jadi pengacara seorang wanita yang anaknya sampe meninggal gara2 leukimia gara2 ditipu perusahaan asuransi (Greater Benefit) yang gamau bayarin asuransi anak ini. Kisaran ceritanya banyak di courtroomdrama, yang akhirnya secara ajaib dimenangkan sama si Rudy dan clientnya dan berujung pada bangkrutnya perusahaan asuransi itu.

WordPress.org is open source blogging software that is freely available to anyone to download. The software must be downloaded and installed onto a computer.
